Our most divine kimono ever! As with most of our kimonos this piece is made out of vintage shawls that are no longer reproduced because the cost now a days would be too high...the quality and hand beading alone is truly insane and really needs to be appreciated in person..as one of our lovely customers put it, "THIS BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!"
The peacock pattern and color combination is simply to-die-for. Amazing beaded tassels drip down the front, under the sleeves and sleeve opening, and all along the hemline. The beads are rainbow colored so really create a stunning magical effect.

So many ways to wear dressed up or down, a truly timeless and effortless piece! Shown with a detachable vintage fur collar (for styling options/purposes only, it is not included)

Silk Velvet Burnout
Silk beaded tassels

Dry Clean

The velvet burnout process, or "Dévoré" as it is also referred, is achieved by applying an acid to a natural, protein fiber (silk) and natural non-protein fiber (rayon). The acid "burns out" the non-protein fiber leaving only the sheer woven silk and hence, creating elaborate and intricate designs. This fabrics is of the highest quality, and is very expensive to manufacture.
