Created from one of our extraordinary hand-beaded silk velvet devoré shawls, this made-to-order dress is a true one-of-one Girl On A Vine piece.
The shawl itself is a work of art. An oversized floral design in smoky silver, antique gold, ochre and earthy neutrals comes to life in silk velvet over a sheer ground, intricately embellished by hand with delicate beadwork that catches the light with every movement.
Individually cut and draped to preserve the beauty and placement of the original shawl artwork, the dress features a softly draped V-neck bodice and a separate empire seam beneath the bust, shaping the silhouette before falling over the body into the shawl’s dramatic asymmetrical handkerchief hem.
The original black velvet border and hand-beaded fishnet tassel fringe are preserved throughout the design — including the bodice and hem — creating incredible texture and movement from every angle.
A separate black lining slip is included, providing coverage while allowing the sheer devoré, dimensional velvet florals, hand beading and tassel details to remain beautifully free and fluid.
